Hey There!
I’m very lucky in that once I decided I wanted to study graphic design, my path never wavered. I guess I should’ve known: I remember once in 2nd grade, I set up a “shop” in the back of the classroom where I would draw words for my friends. If that doesn’t say “future graphic designer," I don’t know what does!
My love for typography started young, and it’s only grown since then. If a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a picture and words worth? I believe that type is just as important as image when it comes to design, both in what it says and how it says it. The best designs find a way to seamlessly integrate the two; my personal design philosophy is that every design decision must serve a purpose or have a reason behind it. Nowadays, with various online graphic platforms today, anyone can make designs that look cool; I challenge myself to make designs that are smart.
For this reason, I'm particularly drawn to designing for print, including editorial design and packaging, and I love helping brands express their messages through eye-catching visuals. Art has the power to change the world, and I strive for every design I create to leave the world a better place.
